The cherry blossom, or sakura, holds a special place in Japanese culture, symbolising the ephemeral nature of life and the beauty of impermanence. In this painting, I sought to honour that tradition and aimed to capture the essense of renewal and hope that comes with the blossoming of these flowers.
As the warm sunlight bathes the leaves and highlighs the tips of the flowers, it also reminds us of the interplay between light and darkness, joy and sorrow. Its' a remidner that life is a tapestry of contrasting experiences, each contributing to the richenss of our journey.
I hope this painting will invite to embrace the full spectrum of emotions and to find beauty in every moment, no matter how fleeting.
